Workshop SimParc'07 Travel & Stay Support for Participants (from outside of Rio)

Financial Support

The Workshop can provide financial support to participants from outside of Rio.

Travel and stay expenses will be refunded after the workshop. Original travel tickets and boarding passes will be needed.

A flat stay support is proposed: 3 days, with the standard rate of 107 Euro per day (aprox. R$ 282), i.e. a total of 321 Euro (aprox. R$ 846).

Travel tickets will also be refunded (in addition to the stay expenses package of 321 Euro).

Note: our budget for the workshop is limited. (All funding comes from our ARCUS SimParc project). So please book early as a way to limit the cost of air tickets ! Thank you :)

Note: refunding will be managed by University Paris 6 (which manages the ARCUS project administration and finance). You will provide a bank account info (in France otherwise in Brazil) to receive the money refund.

Lodging Support

We propose you to stay at a well located hotel, Copacabana Praia Hotel, a 4* Hotel, located between Copacabana and Ipanema, very close to Forte de Copacabana.

Address: 30 Rua Francisco Otaviano, Copacabana (corner with Av. N.S. Copacabana). Price is R$ 170 for one night, including breakfast. (R$ 200 for a couple).

Price for a taxi is aprox. R$ 10-15 between hotel and PUC-Rio.

Please make your reservation directly to the hotel. Contact us if any problem.

Note: if the majority of participants stay at the same hotel, this will facilitate the synchronization (and sharing transport) to go to the workshop site. But you may also prefer and book another place.

Please try to arrive in Rio the day before the first day of the workshop, in order to avoid risks of delays in the workshop.
